Jerry E. Alexander was born in Conehatta, Mississippi, on July 4, 1942. Ingalls Shipyard lured the family to Pascagoula in 1951. When he was a freshman at PHS, Jerry came to Fred and asked if he could play with the Flames.  The band was playing in the high school cafeteria that night and he was invited to come and play.  The members knew immediately Jerry would fit in because his style was exactly what they were looking for.

      Today Jerry owns and plays in his own club in Pascagoula where he has continued his music all these years.
